Our Fun Day at Science Park Bhubaneswar

Hello, young explorers and parents! Are you ready to travel back in time?

Last April we visited the Regional Science Centre (Science Park) in Bhubaneswar, and it was one of the coolest trips ever. We didn’t just look at things; we played with science! The highlight of our trip was the brand-new Dinosaur Park, which opened just recently in 2025. Imagine walking among giants that lived millions of years ago!

1. The New Dinosaur Park: A Walk with Giants

The moment we stepped into the Prehistoric Life Park, we felt like we were in a movie! There are life-sized models of famous dinosaurs like the T-Rex and the long-necked Diplodocus.

What makes it special is the Storytelling Light & Sound Show. The dinosaurs don't just stand there; they come to life with sounds and lights that tell you how they lived. It’s a bit scary but mostly super exciting! We learned about different species and saw what the Earth looked like before humans were even around.

2. Galleries We Loved: Motion, Math, and More

Inside the building, there are three main galleries:

  • Motion Gallery: This was my favorite! You can pull levers and push buttons to see how things move. It explains Newton's laws and gravity using fun games.

  • Mathematics Gallery: Think math is boring? Think again! Here, you can play with puzzles, shapes, and patterns that make math feel like a giant game.

  • Popular Science: This gallery has the famous Mirror House. You can see yourself in a hundred different ways or make yourself look tall, short, or wiggly!

3. Outdoor Fun: The Science Park

The fun doesn't stop inside! The outdoor park is filled with "Science Toys." We played with:

  • Musical Tubes: Bang on them to hear different notes.

  • The Sundial: A giant clock that uses the sun to tell the time!

  • The Echo Tube: Shout into one end and hear your voice travel to the other side of the park.
